What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, run over nine weeks. Each week looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. It's relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. No charge, just listen, discuss, discover. It's also a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy great food and ask anything.
How does it work?
Alpha is a series of nine sessions with a weekend away in the middle. Each week we will look at a different question around faith. Each session includes food, an engaging and thought provoking video and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts on the video and any other aspect on faith or God.
Morning Alpha takes place at Cambridge Hall (TN34 1DJ) and starts at 10am with coffee & cake. Kids? Morning Alpha is designed to work around you and your kids with a video and informal discussion within a play area.
Evening Alpha takes place at Holy Trinity Hastings (TN34 1HT) and starts at 7pm with an evening meal.
Who's it for?
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The videos are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. Scroll to the bottom to see what topics we'll be looking at this term.
