What is The Marriage Course?
The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions, designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong and lasting marriage. It was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee who have been married for over 30 years and speak regularly on relationships and marriage. They started the course is 1996 and there are now thousands of courses running around the world.
How does it work?
The Marriage Course is set in an environment that emulates a relaxed evening for the two of you. Each evening begins at 7pm with a two course meal, followed by a video that is both informative and fun. You are then given time to discuss the videos privately with your partner. There is no group work, so relax - you will not have to share anything about your relationship with anyone else. Topics covered include: Building Strong Foundations, The Art of Communication, Resolving Conflict, The Power of Forgiveness, The Impact of Family – Past and Present, Good Sex, Love in Action. We aim to finish by 9.30pm.
Who is it for?
The course, while based on Christian principles, is very helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background. If you are in a long term, committed relationship, whether cohabiting or married, and would like to make your relationship the best it can be, this course is for you.
How much does it cost?
The cost for the course is up to £96 (depending on venue), including a two course meal each evening. Early booking is advisable and bursaries are available. We really do not want people to miss out due to cost.
When is the next one?
The next course starts on Monday 21st January 2019.
