In 2014 at the request of the Bishop of Chichester, Sarah and Simon Larkin along with their family, moved to Hastings with a small team to help revitalise HTH church which was at risk of closure.

They had a dream of what church could be like…

Imagine communities of people who are so passionate about being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and joining in with what Jesus is doing, that lives, families, and communities are changed and transformed, one life at a time.

Imagine a church that 15-year-olds long to be part of and which the non-religious are drawn to, one which breaks all their preconceptions of church.

Imagine a church which raises children and youth to be leaders now and in the future.

Imagine a church where those that are marginalised, addicted or poor in spirit find friendship, freedom and hope.

Imagine a church, strategically placed in the centre of a town that plays its part in changing the culture of the town, seeing an explosion of love, friendship, prayer, creativity, hospitality, compassion and worship breaking out.

Imagine a church that can - in time - resource or plant other churches.

Imagine if we were that church…

That dream started to become a reality and continues to inspire and challenge us as we serve this area and beyond.

We believe God's power changes lives - bringing hope, freedom and transformation. Every Sunday we meet to worship together, learn from and teach the bible, welcome the Holy Spirit to work amongst us and have an opportunity to receive prayer.  We come together on a Sunday to be changed into the likeness of Jesus, and hope to go out to be a blessing to our friends, families, neighbours and work colleagues.

We have many activities for children and youth, on Sundays as well as during the week. The growth of the church over the last few years has enabled us to start a number of initiatives to support and empower the wider community. We now have over 500 people being impacted by our work each week, through SundaysSafehaven Men and Safehaven Women, our Children’s and Youth programmes and our support to Ukrainians. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, sexuality or neurodiversity. We endeavour to follow good practice in all areas of our work. We are members of Hastings Voluntary Action and are actively working with Statutory, Community and Voluntary Sector partners to bring positive change to local people’s lives.

We would love to welcome you to join us in this unique adventure in the heart of Hastings.
