Accessibility/Step-Free Entrance

Our accessible entrance is located on Claremont Street, TN34 1HA. The entrance is step-free and provides direct access into the church and café area.

We also have an accessible toilet available for visitors.

If you’re planning a visit and have any specific access needs, please get in touch with us in advance. We’d be very happy to talk through your requirements and let you know how we can best support your visit.

Assistance Dogs

Guide dogs, hearing dogs, and assistance dogs are welcome in the church at all times. There are lots of nice places around HTH to walk your furry friends but unless they’re assistance dogs they sadly wont be allowed into the church building itself.

Children & Families

We have lots at HTH for children and youth on Sundays: come along to our 10:30 service, where children and youth go out to their groups during the service to have fun and learn more about following Jesus together.

When you arrive, please head to the HTH kids area to register your child and collect their lanyard.

We’ll then begin the service all together as one big church family, including worship. After this, the children’s groups will be called out and head to their designated groups and locations.

We look forward to welcoming the whole family!

Quiet Space for Babies and Carers

We also have a quiet space available in our lower room for babies and their carers if you need somewhere a little calmer during the service.

It’s a comfortable place to feed, settle or relax with your little one, while still being able to follow the service via a live stream.

Buggy storage

We have buggy storage available in the Lady Chapel, within the main church space. For fire safety, we ask visitors to leave buggies in this designated area rather than keeping them in the aisles or near fire exits.

If you need to keep your baby or child in their pram during the service, we have reserved spaces in the South Aisle where you can sit comfortably while keeping our fire exits and access routes clear.

If you need any help finding the buggy storage or getting settled, a member of our Welcome Team will be very happy to assist you.

Bikes

Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate adult bicycles inside the church. If you’re arriving by bike, please make sure you bring a suitable lock and secure your bike outside the church.

For safety and access reasons, we’re unable to store bicycles inside the building, including bikes that have been left without a lock. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for bikes left unsecured outside the church.

Sound levels

We are a busy and vibrant church who tend to make a fair bit of noise when we’re all together. For those that prefer things a little quieter, we have some disposable ear plugs and overhead ear defenders available for adults and children that might need them. These can be found at the Production booth in front of the chancel.

Hearing loop

We have a hearing loop installed in the Nave of the church. Click here to view a map of showing where the hearing loop works best (indicated by the green rectangle).

Ukrainian Translation

For any of our Ukrainian sisters and brothers we have translation facilities available. It does require wearing a pear of “silent-disco” headphones, and it means if you’re in the service you might hear our translator working away quietly in the background throughout.
